Hi, I'm Dana. I’m an artist, drummer, writer, notebook-filler, creativity disciple, and public speaker — and Inner Studio is the way I offer support to YOUR creativity. My faith in creativity defines me more than anything else these days, especially now at this sociocultural threshold where our creativity is desperately needed, but most of us weren’t really taught to understand what our creativity even is, how it works, or how to access it — never mind what it has to do with social transformation, healing from adverse experiences, and our place in the larger family of things.
Creativity has been at the heart of my path for over 20 years. I see it as the spiritual force that’s been braiding together my adult pursuits of truth via the seemingly disparate areas of art, activism, and therapy… which now feel integrated and ongoing as a “wholly trinity” of healing/recovery from various adverse experiences like childhood abuse, being socialized in a white male supremacist capitalist patriarchy, and being educated in ways that were about undermining children’s integrity in service to the dominant culture.
